Welcome

Welcome to the initial Blog set up just for I-ACT.

We will attempt to keep this blog up to date, and request that all posts maintain the decorum of a professional association.

If you have any suggestions to make this blog more useable, please email us.

Use this blog to ask questions of other members, but remember the best place for answers on your equipment will be from the manufacturer of that equipment.

We look forward to your comments and suggestions.

Have a great time

  3. Trish and I are just checking out the new blog site and the new I-ACT website! Dick, this is wonderful. We are so excited to have this members area blog whereby we can connect with each other on issues, ideas, etc. Blogging is a great way to stay in touch. I am in Arkansas visiting my family. It has been a whirlwind trip and I am to be back in Atlanta by Tuesday. Went to visit my Mom's grave in Herbine AR. Haven't been there since she passed in 05. Feel better after refreshing her flowers. AR is a beautiful and peaceful place. Trish (my sister) has a beautiful practice here that she established twelve years ago. But, visiting her is like being at my center. We both are Colon Hydrotherapists! Much goodwill and prosperity is being sent to everyone from Trish and I! Can't wait till the convention in 09! It will be a ball! Lots of awesome speakers to hear. I am looking forward to learning and visiting the vendors. And to hearing the famous singer who used to be with the Drifter's! The hotel is very unique as it used to be the main train station in the northeast. Fun will be had by all. We will miss those who may not make the trip this year. We will hold all of you there with us. Well. I need to say bye for now. I send everyone lots of love and laughter. Truly, Pam Craig

  5. Well hi all my fellow peers in our sacred profession. The 2009 20th annual I-ACT Convention was a fantastic array of continual events, speakers, vendors, (Nancy Spahr even had cultured veggies in her booth for sale)! Her husband was our photographer for the convention. He is a PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER who donated his time to us for a meager fee. The photos he took you will see in your Quarterly, so read through and don't miss out. On the night of the banquet on Saturday, everone was dressed in beautiful, and glittery attire. Our President, Russell Kolbo wore a tuxedo, and he and his gorgeous wife Cherie looked amazing. Dick Hoenninger wore a beautiful custom made vest designed and handmade for him by his wife, Donna. Donna is quite the designer, who is responsible for all the beautiful t shirts, and gifts handed out at convention. Got to go for now, but much love to you all. We loved seeing all who were there and we had those who weren't there in our thoughts. Brenda Watson was greatly missed, as she was not able to attend due to her mother's passing. Till next time. All is in Divine Order. Pam Craig

  10. Hello Everyone,

Today in Chicago, the sun was shining. Winter is upon us and we are appreciating each day of mild weather.

Congrats to Pam as she assumes leadership of our association.
We all look forward to a productive term.

Remember to look at the latest Quarterly. Thanks much to Dick and our wonderful staff for another job well done.

We've included an article on Website Compliance.

As our profession grows and gains more mainstream presence, it is important that we have an understanding regarding electronic communication.

Did any of you catch our own Tracy Piper from New York on the Tyra Banks show? She is working with Dr. Holt and provided a colon hydrotherapy session on the set. It was well done. Go Tracy!!!!

Give me us your feedback. Let us know your views or concerns.

    Hugs for all

  13. Hope this comments finds you in the best of health...

As we prepare for 2010, it would be wonderful to add another 210 members before the end of the year. Contact all of the individuals that you know and have them join us. The greater the number of members that we have, the more power we will have as we press forward with our legislative actions.

Keep up the fantastic job and have a great day.

  15. I am saddened today having just heard of the passing of Mary L Dennis, one of our outstanding Wa and I-ACT members. Mary was most active here in Wa as well as a participating member on the Education Committee of I-ACT and most recently in July as an Item Writer for the new NBCHT Test. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Let us all do what we can today to show our love and appreciation for those around us as we are only assured of a few minutes of today. I appreciate all of you. Share a moment of your time with those you appreciate while we are together.

  17. Hi there,

I'm very new to blogging, wasn't sure how to post a new subject...

I'm looking for some thoughts and opinions from some fellow Colon Hydrotherapists.
3 months ago I opened a fully licensed home based business. As apart of my advertising I have been going out and approaching Naturopaths, Chiropractors, Yoga Studios, ect to tell them about my business. They have the kind of clients I would like to attract to my business.

Yesterday, I had a meeting with the owner of a Wellness Center. They are a very established business. (over 10yrs) Offering all sorts of holistic modalities. However they want me to be exclusive to just them. I'm on the fence with this and want to know if this is fair of them to ask of me? I live in a very large Canadian city with very few Colon Hydrotherapists and Naturopaths on every corner. Is it smart to put all my eggs in one basket? I do have a family to support and bills to pay, this company can not guarantee to keep me busy.

Any comments are greatly appreciated, starting my own business has been very rewarding and ALOT of work.

I love being apart of I-ACT, and am thankful for it's support :)

    Namaste'

  18. Kelsey, sorry that I did not respond earlier, have been busy & not had the time to get on to review blogs. If not too late, it is best not to put all in one basket. I do not know why they would ask that. Furthur questions, call me 808-384-5819PST
